Jean Pascal vs. Lucian Bute

What? I've seen all of his fights live since he fought Miranda. (And a fair few of his fights on youtube)

Hype before you've actually achieved anything, then being exposed when you step up makes you a hype job. Bute is the definition of a hype job.

 

Not Hopkins, of course! Before his arm got caught in the cables against Kuziemki, in round 4. In fact, he looked better after the injury.

You can think Bute is a hyped job if you want but thinking Pascal has a better resume is questionable. First, Bika is a better win than Johnson. Of course, it was before the Miranda fight so you may not have noticed. Second, Pascal has one single big win. A very big one but a single one. Diaconu never beat a good fighter on the world class scene so it is not a very good win. Bute's resume lacks of big names but the rest of his wins are stronger than Pascal's. Pascal faced better fighters but lost or drawed against them.

Bute faced strong opposition very early in his career (remember, you were not watching him at the time) which is not the path of a hyped job.

 

The word from people watching him in training is he has fire in his eyes.

 

Pascal might have lost some of the big fights, but he didn't look bad in those fights ffs. The Froch fight was a close fight.

I've seen the Bika fight.

 

I swear the US is upside down, U use fractional or +300/-150 type of betting language and europeans use the 1.75 type.
I'm guessing 4/5 fav means 1.75 or 1.80

 

How can I bet my all vCash on Bute by KO? I don't really trust him because of heart but I think that's a valuable bet.

 

It depends on how you look at a resume then. You give credit to Pascal for his defeats, why not? His victories are not so good though. Before facing Froch, Pascal was walking the path of a hyped job, facing only journeymen. In the mean time, Bute was facing better opposition. in the second half of their career, Pascal took bigger challenges than Bute.

 

Pascal is fav. the odds varies depending on the betting house between 1.66 and 1.80
While Bute is underdog the odds varies(same principle) between 2.00 and 2.27
