thats a very good point when the going gets tough bute hasnt got it in himself to bounce back that will ultimately be his downfall and also just to add i dont think i ever seen pascal realy shaken up,
They weren't against his only legitimate foe. Don't expect it to be the case tonight. Pascal is going to get to Bute EARLY :deal
i will be..pascal will try too hard, it will gas him and leave him open, pascals punches are wide and looping, great for counters... if pascal wins i give him my dues...but i see bute taking this, i have seen it this way for years, i dont see it any different now, i think pascal has a punchers chance based on bute's chin... Renan St-Juste, who has sparred with both pascal and bute was very clear...he said physicaly, pascal is the stringer man, but punch strength, they are EXACTLY the same...
Pascal's best chance to end the fight is in the first 4 rounds. He reminds me of Judah. A fast, explosive 4 round fighter, but slows down after that. In Judah's case, it's mental, but for Pascal, it's physical. His muscles are too dense and he's going to fade from 8 round on. I can see him being Judah and Bute being Malignaggi in this fight. Bute has a 3 inch height advantage and he'll be the one with the advantage at long range. They're going to exchange roles leading because Bute is taller and Pascal is faster. If Bute can keep it together, he can win the fight down the stretch, when Pascal's stamina fades. In the first 6 rounds, I favor Pascal because of speed and power. In the last 6 rounds, I favor Bute's range and stamina. Pascal better end this fight early, or he'll be in a lot of trouble. Tough fight to call, but I see Bute winning a close decision.
I'd like to mention that Pascal's defense is rather poor. It's all based on reflexes rather than fundamentals. He always like to move backwards in a straight line. From all the fights I've seen of him, he was always open to the right hand. I think he will also be open to the left hand. I actually think Bute's defense is better than Pascals. It won't be that noticeable in the beginning, but give it 4-5 rounds and Lucien will start landing more consistently. I wouldn't be surprise if there is a late KO by Bute. Of course, the question on everyone's mind is whether Bute still believes in himself after the the Froch loss. I don't think it'll affect him that much in this fight. Pascal is not going to put a lot of pressure on Bute.
butes best defence is offence...but he looks like he doesnt know it....he also looks like he lacks a bit of heart...he doesnt fold in fairness but he looks too weary and unsure of himself to be more aggressive and looks worried about what he might get hit in return with....bute could be better than he allows himself to be
Bute sucks and shouldn't be rated that highly-he was closed to getting knocked and he knew it-way over his head-too much hype for a bum fighter.
Neither Bute nor Pascal have any future in the lightheavyweight divison. Both would get knocked out by Kovalev, Stevenson, and Shumenov..............Hopkins is the weakest of the lightheavyweights, so Hopkins would be their only chance and I would not bet on them to even beat Hopkins.........
Pascal, was Pascal. He was unorthodox, good at times but that is all. He wouldn't stand a chance against either of the top guys, especially the Russian. Bute, mentally just does not have it anymore. He is most likely done. It does not seem physical, just scared to get hit.
