Miranda by KO, about the 8th round. I think Miranda's power surprises Lacy. I also think Lacy's rotator cuff injury to his left shoulder has diminished his power.

I think some people underrate Mirandas boxing abilities. Its not that the only thing he has is power and hes not one dimensional, maybe a bit, but i think he has all the tools, just needs to make a few adjustment and learn to fight backwards as well.

Pre-Calzaghe Lacy would crush Miranda in a one-sided KO, but now it's impossible to wager a guess. Jeff is coming off a major surgery and has a diminished chin (as evidenced by the Tsypko fight), along with some lingering confidence issues.

It's an unknown to me, until we see more.

I agree, and good post. Miranda needs some range but can't dictate space (no movement, poor feet), and someone like Lacy could push him backward and land the harder shots at close-range.

I don't think this matchup would be good for either fighter in the immediate future.

yeah, why? seen him punch lately?
With time to heal and good physio there is no reason for his power to diminish.
I think that when Jeff does fight again physically he will be fine, it's all about mental strengh and IMO he has plenty of that. Jeff ko's Edison mid rounds, 6 or 7 would be my guess.

I agree with this but I'd much rather see Green take Pascal up on his challenge.

Lacy by TKO. He does everything better than Edison who IMO is just too crude for someone like Lacy.

I think Miranda is a better way for Pascal to test his chin and give him credit than Green. I think Miranda has more power then Green but in other departements Green is better. Still, Miranda is better known in the US and less Dangerous for Pascal at this point IMO. But Pascal will fight on october 6, november 23 and somewhere in March before taking on Miranda in the summer. It will make a good fight thats for sure.

Two punchers with not much skill. Either fighter could get KO'd.

I dont think there is much to underrate.

He has some talent and athletic ability no doubt, but he makes so many fundamental mistakes in the ring and has very little ring intelligence.

Talent can mask a fighters lack of true skill a lot of the time because they look like they know what their doing and its all predmeditated. It just comes natural to Miranda and when what comes natural doesnt work he turns to dirty tactics and slugging and when that doesnt work see vs Pavlik.

Good Post. Miranda is VERY limited technically. He really only knows how to fight one way and that is coming forward. Against lacy, Lacy has better defense in close quarters, tighter punchers, and IMO more power (especially at 168). This would end by Brutal KO.
