I don't see them as being slower and as far as skills go I don't view Coetzee and Spinks as using a plethora of skills, it's more like they're in a back alley brawl than a boxing contest. I don't know if they could go 15 rounds or not, didn't seem like winning a decision was very high on either one of their agendas.
If so... David vs. Goliath, meaning David Haye vs. Valuev. Why David Haye didn't win Wlad then? I believe Haye is far more skilled then Jennings in each and every aspect, though I agree Jennings is a solid fighter and the best among all those available for Wladimir.
Its clear as day there slower and hardly throw multiple combinationsn. And whether or not going 15 rounds was on either Spinks or Coetzee's agenda, they both proved they could go 15 rounds and at a good pace. But the main part about this era being weak is the point you didnt touch on. Todays top 10 fighters simply dont fight each other as often. If they did is there any doubt they would have many more losses as you pointed out in a previous thread. And thats not even getting into fighters having to fight more often while injured back in era's like Braddock, or having to travel by car or train which was and still would be harder on a fighter than flying a few hours by plane. It seems many of the pro "this era" fans on boxing forums dont take these things into consideration.
Jennings has better defense, stamina, and boxing IQ than Wlad's opposition. He also likes hitting the body, which you rarely see in a heavyweight fight these days. Very cool headed and doesn't force the ko unless he smells blood. Puts punches together nicely. Not a huge puncher, but hits hard enough to humble opponents. I think he beats anyone except for Wlad, but no one has really pressured Wlad since Sanders so it gives Wlad the opportunity to fight at his own pace. Jennings sometimes uses a peekaboo style which is great for jabs, but may make him susceptible to Wlad's left hook. I don't think Wlad will look past Jennings, who's the darkhorse of the division.
beats anyone?! He s****ed past Perez If Takam is still good he beats Jennings. So does Povetkin Probably Pulev Wilder too Fury as well The list goes on and on
Pulev pressure him, and you see what happen? The difference is that is not the Klitschko from Sanders ... This guy know how to not be hit now, and know how to react when he is hard hitted.
Wach caught Klitchko with a tasty right hand that rocked him, Wach then missed every punch after, as klitchko evaded on the ropes and then tied up, till the bell rang . :good He knows what to do now when hes hurt nowadays, not that i think jennings will be able to hurt klitchko anyway.
Pulev actually whacked Klitschko with a pretty good right an instant before Klitschko rearranged his face with a left hook.
