Look, you want to talk, fine. Speak to me like a man ok? When champions are fighting, they deserve a count at least. This isn't a champion fighting a contender, and a count is going to kill the other guy swince the damage is already done. A count to 8 is all I'm talking about. A count, so you get a clue, and next time read the damn post and digest the opinion. 8 seconds isn't the difference between life and death in the ring when the damage is already done.

Ikeke? He didn't "fight tall" as Stewart puts it. He squats down. When he does that he has to raise his chin. Bad thing. Kelly fights upright. That means he looks down and that tucks his chin. Good thing. To catch KP that one time, KP has to be in range. That is where the reach advantage comes in. Too many fighters don't know how to break a guard. They just try and go through it. Pavlik pounds on the arms and shoulders. He has the stamina to keep it up. He will do that from the outside. AA will be defused before he has a chance to explode his bomb.

I wrote a post on this a while ago. Both threw big rights and Molinares ko'd Starling. Starling also broke his ankle twisting to the canvas. Merchant was hilarious after Starling told him he was not knocked down or knocked out. Merchant said, this man does not know that he has just been knocked out lol...

By rule, champions are afforded NO special privilege in the ring. The fight is the same for both guys. There was NO standing 8 count rule in that fight. The ref had to either let Pavlik KILL Taylor or stop the fight. Those were his options. Taylor could not defend himself, he could not fall to the ground and there was no standing 8 count. This is a matter of rule, not debate.

I have to see it to believe it. PAv has not been in the ring with anyone with AA's power. Pavlik has not faced a fighter who will go to his body. If Pavlik is hurt by AA, fight over.

I'm not talking special privleges. The ref stepped in after Taylor was down. The no standing eight count is when a fighter is still visibly on his feet and taking shots. J.T was down. I also said it was probably the right call.

"they guy writin" This is boxing in the 2000's. I don't like many of the stoppages that are happening in boxing. Castillo was out on his feet, Taylor was down. Either learn boxing, or learn to speak and spell.

The difference between Castillo-Corrales I and Taylor-Pavlik I was that Castillo was out on his feet, while Taylor was out on his ass. Face it, he was done. There was no way that fight should have been allowed to continue, no way whatsoever.

agree that people trying to dig into people for mispelling is pointless it doesnt means anything. as long as you understood the point thats it.

but come on castillo had his chin wide in the air his hands by his waist and took a shalacking in that last combination.

gene fullmers recollection of gettgin koed against robinson was looking at ray bouncing around jumping up and down and himself thinking "my he is well conditioned...i wonder why he is doing that inbetween rounds"?

it took him about 10 mins to relise that he had been koed i think he said he was waiting the decisions afterwards then his manager kinda disclosed to him that he had been out.

good call on the marlon starling quote.

Hard blows to the head can have that sort of effect.

Darchinyan was hilarious in the post-fight interview as he not only denied being knocked out, he went so far as to say he hadn't even been knocked DOWN!!! That **** was incredible.
