Lacy struggled in his fights since losing to Calzaghe, he's not the same fighter anymore since that beating.
Jermain Taylor is still a top SMW and actually did well in the rematch with Pavlik.

I'll go with Taylor here, by wide UD.

Froch is the unbeaten mandatory , Jeff is an exposed , ruined , slugger with zero hope of beating Jermain.

I like JT and always felt he didnt get enough appreciation for fighting probably the trickiest ( if smallest ) bunch of defences of any recent title run , but neither of these guys want anything to do with Froch. :good

When Lacy Knocks out Taylor - people will marvel at Calzaghes' performance, and scorn at Pavlik.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Taylor fights P4P guys in Winky Wright, Bernard Hopkins, and Kelly Pavlik but avoids the great Carl Froch? :rofl When does someone come in here and say "Surprise"!!!!

I have always liked both fighter's...
    (And still do)

But this fight might change people's perception of them.
IMO, neither fighter has ever been as hungry as they are at this very moment.
Both Lacy & Taylor need this win in the worst way.
(I'm expecting them to take it back to 2005)

That straight right hand of Taylor will be the ticket, IMO.
    Lacy early, Taylor late......

    I'll pick Taylor by T.K.O. 9th RD.
or Lacy by K.O. 3rd RD.

They will cease to be "SHOT" for that night.

And Lacy got a "feel sorry for him" decision against Mendoza, therefore Chad Dawson must be the greatest fighter on the planet.

Froch is a more dangerous opponent than Lacy. But I can't fault Taylor for his choice. Taylor is coming off back to back losses. And even though those two losses did more to boost his rep than the two wins he had before them there is only so far you can push the gaining stature while losing angle. He needs a win. Preferably a decisive win to secure his marketability. Besides he really could use a confidence builder as he fights at his new weight after a considerable haitus from the sport. Once he beats Lacy (and gets a belt) he'll be in far better shape mentally to take on Froch, Kessler or Bute or anyone in the division who wants him.

Taylor may be ducking Froch. And I generally don't like it when fighters duck. But sometimes the financial and tactical reasons for avoiding a fight are so sound even I can't disagree with them. Taylor needs to establish himself in the SMW division first, then he can go after the tougher, riskier opponents.

I don't even think Taylor can spell Froch....
What has he done to even deserve Jermain Taylor's attention?

In this business you gotta make a name for yourself first.
(Crawl before you walk, Some fan's already want Carl to start running)

Taylor would beat Froch too ... Froch has a terrible style, bad boxing skills, and is very wild and undiscipline in his attack.

Lacy is awful. Jermain would beat him up and knock his ass out unless Lacy hugged all night.

This is incorrect. The Froch/Pascal fight is for the vacant WBC title. The winner of Taylor/Lacy will be the first mandatory for the winner of Froch/Pascal. In other words; Froch won't have that title long.

The WBC title belongs to Jermain "Drain the Main Vein" Taylor!
