at this stage, I'm inclined to agree. He can hold get quick shots off maul make it ugly to a victory. Sergio has a decent chin, Taylor isn't stopping him.

Given his apparent current mental state and Mora's style, could you see Taylor getting frustrated and pulling a Golota? :think

Jermain is a looooose canon. He's completely lost it. Possibility that everyone around him is antagoinizing him, but at some point you gotta consider, he's coming apart at the seems

Its gotten to the point whereby, if they fight on Showtime, they're a Haymon fighter

    Hardly, but he is boring.

I'll say this for him, though - lately he is less boring than has been Taylor.

In his last fight with Dashon Johnson (go-hard journeyman who springs the occasional shock upset, like over the skidding Craig McEwan a little over a year ago) both men went down in the 1st round. His previous two wins came by KO, and before that was his pistol-whipping of Grzegorz Proksa, which in all honesty was more entertaining than Soliman vs. Taylor was.

Taylor's comeback has been a snooze, for the most part.

Oh man. A kinda nefarious thought just occurred to me...

Since the Haymon modus operandi is to maximize financial gain with minimal risk, there is a possibility that his plan is to have Taylor flip the belt to Mora before going to prison, then have Mora sit on it like a mama bird until he can lure Shane Mosley into a rematch, which makes just too much sense for all parties to ignore.

(Mosley and Mora both felt they won last time, and have that 'unfinished business' chip on their shoulders; Mosley has been looking to make inroads at 160lbs, and was scheduled to actually take on Fedor Chudinov moving down in weight at one point last year!; and this is the biggest money purse that Mora could hope for without actually losing his title, since Mosley is so completely shot and has deteriorated greatly in physical constitution and sharpness since their draw while Mora is more or less the same guy, if not maybe slightly improved at middleweight, where Mosley doesn't belong...)

In one fell swoop in a single calendar year Mora could add two names to his resume that eight years ago would have seemed laughable.

Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam just posted to his Facebook page confirming that he will be the 1st mandatory defense of either Taylor or Mora (who is a voluntary defense for Taylor) and guaranteed to meet whichever is the champ within 4-6 months of their fight.

He may or may not take a tuneup in the meantime but intends to remain in training camp indefinitely just in case. :bbb
