    :good

For sure. But where I was sitting, I didn't seem to notice any kind of tensions. Pavlik fans cheered when he did something good & Taylor fans did the same for JT.

But when Pavlik backed him into that corner & the end was only secounds away, the way the crowd noise grew & grew made it so damn exciting to watch an execution like that.

    (((((((((GO KELLY)))))))))

    :!:

BTW, I doubt he was at the fight. Prob home trying to get his fingers out of his ass & up to his nose.

Taylor is a very flawed fighter. He has made the same mistakes since he began fighting as a professional and he hasn't changed. I don't see him doing anything different for this fight.

Watched it again just a few days ago. That is one of my favorite moments of the fight, between rounds 2 & 3. First, I thought I heard him apologize for getting tagged, then he said it was a good shot. Then he says I'm allright & the smile he gives his corner is priceless.

    Kelly is the freakin' MAN!!!:D

Taylor, or anyone else in KP's weight range doesn't stand a chance in there with him. Too big, too smart, too damn good. Plain as that.

The one thing nobody has mentioned. Taylor was loading up on almost every punch he threw. He wanted to get KP outta there from rd1. That is why he was so gassed by the 7th.

I think Taylor's bad habits are here to stay. If he would have taken some time to rethink his place in boxing, and fought a couple "B" level guys to straighten out his game, I would have a lot more confidence in his future. As it stands it seems like he thinks Pavlik just got lucky. That is not the case. What we saw back in September was a more or less typical day at the office for Kelly; back and forth for a few rounds and then Pavlik establishes his jab, finds a home for the right hand, and takes over.

In my opinion the fight was either even, or Jermain was up by 1 point going into the 7th round. I wouldn't argue over either score. Conversely, Emanual Steward was right to tell Jermain he was losing the fight because the tide had turned and Pavlik was coming on strong. Taylor should have held a high guard, box and move, get in throw his shots and get out circling away from the right hand. Bronco McKart gave Pavlik hell for 4 rounds doing that, and then he made ONE mistake and got starched. Taylor didn't even try to fight smart. He continued to try to slug it out, and he kept going straight back with his left down low.

JT will not correct his flaws in 1 training camp headed up by Ozell Nelson. If he comes in fighting scared due the rather unpleasant past experience he gets blown out in under 3 rounds. If he comes in and tries to recreate round 2, Kelly won't clown him a second time, and JT goes down in 5-6 rounds. If he tries as best he can to fight smart, box and move, he makes 10 or 11 rounds. If Jermain sees the start of the 10th, he will have done what no fighter before him has done.

Your right. He was loading up. 1st punch thrown in the fight was an immediate over hand right with bad intensions on it. I'd like to see JT try to outbox KP. Never happen. Kelly will walk him down & find that chin...again.

Maybe, but he has always seemed to have stamina issues to me.

JT's stamina issues could be related to the weight. The added weight may help, but in the rematch it will help Pavlik more. At 168 I can see Taylor giving Kessler a rough night, but I can't see him winning.

Call me crazy, but I've watched this fight more than 10 times. You can physically see how tense his muscles become before every punch. There is no way anybody can go out there and throw as many punches, the way he did, and not be over-exerted.

Sure you can, Boo. Think about it. KP is taller with more reach. KP is ambitrexious & has better power & control of his punches than Kessler, not to mention better vareity. Kessler basically has a nice 1-2, which limits what he can do. Kelly would back him up just like anyone else. Just another fight. KP would figure him out, bombs away & its lights out once again.

Come on, Boo. Tell me Pavlik would knock one of those tatoo's right off of Kessler. Kelly just knows how to fight, mentally discourage his opponent & eventually hurt them bad. Not many fighters today can do that. He's a Natural in the ring.

JET -- are you dislexic or something? I said I can't see TAYLOR beating Kessler! Pavlik / Kessler is a whole different story; potential fight of the year in 09 with Kelly winning late in dramatic fashion!

I'm a big Pav. fan, but I'd give Kessler the edge as of now. He can punch, he's accurate, and I think he's a bit faster than Pav. We'll be able to know much more about that matchup after Pav/Taylor II. It'll be interesting to see how the extra weight effects them.
