Jerry Quarry vs Cleveland Big Cat Williams, Both Prime. This fight would have taken place before Williams near fatal shooting at the hands of a Texas State Trooper on Nov 30 1964.

Quarry by KO. Just a better fighter. He's got the weapons to put Williams away. Cleveland looks impressive the first few rounds, then the fight gets away from him. He had a long career before the shooting. There are reasons why it never really panned out. He had power in his fists but something was lacking.

Quarry...he would mop the floor with him.

Quarry crushed Shavers, beat the crap out of Lyle,Spencer,Mathis and then knocked Mac Foster who beat the crap out of Williams, the same Mac Foster who dropped Liston in sparring.
He also beat Patterson twice and knocked London.
Quarry by KO in a similar fight like against Mac Foster.

I think the thing that Williams lacked was stamina and maybe a good follow up when an opponent was badly hurt.

Now see you can put out a really good post like this, keep up the good work. Stick to posting, not criticizing others. I am impressed with this post.

Williams would “fall awkwardly” just like Bodell did. Quarry’s description of his 90 seconds destruction of Jack Bodell.

Quarry, and it is not even close.
Simply put, Gerry had superior power, more endurance, better skills and probably more heart.

Unquestionably Quarry. It's more interesting to ponder on how long it takes him to get the job done.
7th round KO seems like a fair estimate.

Wonder how many people would've picked Quarry over Chuvalo had they never fought.
