Quarry mixed it with the best heavyweights. Tough as nails and busy. Great counter puncher and with pop in both hands. Notable wins over Brian London, Floyd Patterson, Buster Mathis, MacFoster, Ron Lyle, Ernie Shavers.

Holyfield needs no introduction. A great Cruiserweight. Perhaps PEDS propelled him to heavyweight status.

Quarry was a natural cruiserweight, as Holyfield would have been had he not blown up to make heavy. Had he stayed at his natural weight, and natural power, ie; The holyfield that fought 2 great fights vs Dwight Qawi, and fought Quarry, THAT would have been a very hard fight to pick.

    Who you got?

A tough fight between two warriors!

Have to go with Evander. He was a more consistent fighter and I believe that would be key in this bout. Quarry was capable of brilliant performances as long as a fight was going his way. If he was unable to establish the upper hand he would often become discouraged and that could really work against him with an opponent such as Holyfield. I see a hard-fought battle that goes the distance with no knockdowns. Each will have their moments but I believe Holyfield will have more and a stronger finish will give him the victory.

This would be a great fight, favor Evander but Quarry is a very live dog. I think Holy takes it by close decision

Let's be honest when did Holyfield ever have an easy win ? Holyfield should be favoured in this match up but it certainly wouldn't be easy.

Holy loved a firefight. Jerry loved a firefight. This one would entertain.

Ultimately Jerry wears down sooner. He might sting Vander with a counter but he ain't putting him away. Holy stops Quarry on cuts after 9.

Quarry would have been the more skilled at that point but I don’t think he can endure a brutal physical fight with Holyfield like Qawi did the first time. I see Jerry getting cut up and dropped until an eventual stoppage occurs.

Haha it's a good point evander made a lot of tough fights out of lesser fighters that his peers easily dispatched. But, I will say that, between qawi 1 and dokes he had some pretty one sided victories. and he beat Buster Douglas (albeit an out of shape an unmotivated buster douglas) handily.

I think holyfield decisions quarry on his speed advantage and workrate.

Correct me if im wrong, but Jerry only competed vs Heavyweights as a pro? Rarely fought someone his own Height and size? A trimmed down Holy had his hands full with Qwai in the 1st fight. Was even hurt at one point. Man, that was a good fight!. IMO, Jerry is a stiffer test than Dwight at Cruiser.

I loved Holyfield. Didnt care if he blew up with PEDS to be able to compete with Heavyweights and make **** loads of money. Hell most of them were on something! Holyfoeld won people with his heart. However, im going Jerry vs a smaller, non PEDS Evander.

Holyfield stops Quarry late after one of the hardest fights he's ever had.
