I'm not going to argue with someone who has only seen a boxer fight one person.

Ingo beat everyone he fought as a pro. At least a dozen of those fights are available online. Collectors have others.

Watch them. He only lost to Patterson. He beat/outboxed and or blew out everyone else.

If I came into this thread saying the only fights of Quarry I'd seen were against Ali, so prove to me he was better than that ... I'd be mocked and told to go watch his fights.

    That's all you're doing.

I came to talk to posters who have actually seen both guys and can speak knowledgeably on this topic.

We're not talking about pioneers from the 1800s.

Watch the guy fight more than one person before telling people they're wrong.

Where in my post did i say Ingo vs patterson were the ONLY Ingo fights ive seen?

I can tell you you're wrong based on your flawed logic. I have already explained why saying Ingo beat every man he faced is a flawed line of thinking. I explained how ingo relied heavily on his right hand, an observation made by several other posters on this thread and boxing historians who saw him fight live. You were flat out wrong claiming quarry can only hit stationary targets. You failed to show a single example of Ingo outboxing someone as good as Quarry. You gloss over the fact Ingo had a very short career and many of his opponents weren't very good aside from Patterson and Machen. You also completely ignored Quarry's counter punching skill and his iron chin making it difficult for someone with Ingo's style to catch with his right hand, let alone stopping him. These are all facts and it doesn't matter if you disagree.

You haven't addressed anything ive wrote, you put words in my mouth, you get your facts wrong, and now you have the nerve to say you don't want to argue with me. Well guess what, ive had enough of you too so good riddance.

No,not really Ingo needed multiple salvoes of punches to get the stoppage Quarry didn't ,and Quarry was 21 years old when he failed his first test against Machen

Janitor is claiming Ingo was some excellent finisher but his results do not bear this out.
Anything wrong with pointing this out? Tyson scored multiple one punch kos ,how many did Ingo score?
I've seen 7 or 8 of his fights , I'm 71, so I have quite a clear picture of him. Just watched the Machen fight again, you're right and I'm wrong he didnt get up.

Bruno was on the floor at the end of the 2nd fight when Layne waved it off.

Not sure .. both guys to me disappointed, underperformed and have a hardcore base that over rates them .. Quarry was clearly much tougher .. Ingo was the better one shot hitter .. both could be in less than stellar condition .. If I had to pick between them at their best I'd say Quarry because he a bigger heart ..

When he stopped Patterson, he looked pretty sloppy. His accuracy wasn't pinpoint and unerring like say Joe Louis or a young Mike Tyson.

After that second KD in Patterson/Johhannson 1, the KD when Patterson was so out of it that he started walking back to his corner in the middle of the round, the ref should have stopped it at that point.

Yes he should and Ingo should have been able to finish it at that point if the referee wasn't so inclined.Ruby Goldstein the third man has never impressed me in the films I've seen of the fights he was officiating in. He was late stopping that one and ,if my memory serves me right ,late in stopping the Griffith v Paret tragedy.
Conversely it could be argued he stopped the Robinson v Turpin second fight too early, as Turpin was avoiding lot of the punches that were coming his way,and seemed in control of his legs and faculties.
