    I have a tape of that '56 classic 'Bogie' film........... I review the film at least 2X a year.... I never get tired..... That and Flynn's '42 epic---"Gentlemen Jim..... I never get tired of that, either......

    I see your point Jan, but Mike Lane (Toro Moreno) was playing the role of a hulking stiff who owned a glass-jaw and a powder-puff punch....... Joe Wally was actually age 42 in 1956, but was suppose to be age 53..... Bogie was trying to prove to Toro Moreno that he was a bum, stiff or fraud, so he had an aging old man (Joe Wally) drop his ass......... CLASSIC....

    Here today, I'm sure an early 1950s version of Joe Wally could drop some of the sorry *******s posing as fighters today..... Minus the K-brothers or Evan Fields......

    I really don't see the point you're trying to prove here at all, within the frame of a fictional setting and outside of the ring it is useless.

    This was Bogie's last performance..I thought he was understated and great. I enjoyed the roles played by Walcott and Baer...especially Baer...this was probably the version of Baer that dumbass Opie used to make that putrid movie of his. It sure wasn't the reaL life Baer.
