Re-watched the fight twice now, Watt was pretty much spot on.

I agree with what many have said about Watt deciding on a narrative in the early stages of the fight and sticking with it but in this instance he was either displaying this based on the KD and got lucky or he was entirely correct and analysed each round on its merit.

Either way, his opinion in this fight was correct. Froch did very little to earn praise and I had know problem with amything he said.

Did very little to earn praise - look how he was fighting back while under the cosh in each round after 1, then was chasing and bulling Groves around in 9 after clipping him.

That may well be the case but chasing and being ineffective isn't particularly praiseworthy. I am a big Froch fan. I even arranged my stag do around the Bute fight and brought 15 mates up from London to see him but he was very disappointing in this fight. He looked slow and dejected and Groves looked remarkably better and stole all of the praise.

Sure, he came on string in the 9th and "forced the stoppage", as he keeps reminding us, but thath could easily have just ended up being a strong flurry and a return to form afterwards for Groves. Unfortunately we will never know this down to Foster's premature stoppage.

Still a **** thread you creep. You said Watt was biased, he called the fight correctly. You got your little panties in a bunch as you were in the minority with your silly little thoughts.

Was at the arena then watched it back on Sunday, thought Watt's commentary was spot on.

Groves was one doing the cleaner work, forcing the action etc. Froch wasn't doing all that much to talk about.

If you want to talk about bias commentary... stick channel 5 on. In fact prime example, stick Kid Galahad v Jazza Dickens into YouTube and listen to the channel 5 commentary. Dickens was taking the early rounds, putting it on Galahad... the commentary would have you thinking it was a Galahad master class.

Froch thoroughly out-jabbed Groves in the first round, yet Watt raved the opposite.

I like Jim Watt. Problem is, nowadays, I find him distracting because I am always listening out for his catchphrases like "bang on the chen" or "arum punches."
