Jim Watt - IBHOF?

A nononesense, workmanlike figjter. not flashy, but gets the job done. beat Davis & O'Grady in title defensrs. It took a great fighter like Arguello to unseat him. I wonder if he didn't fight Arguello. how long could Watt have reigned? Against the likes of Mancini, Ramirez, Frias, Rosario , or Bramble.

 

Not very long. It would have taken a lesser fighter than Arguello to dethrone Watt. One of the weaker champions in the modern era and a total homer. If he got in the Hall of Fame they may as turn into the Hall of Farce. His reign of foul fests and compliant referees who ignored his constant use of the head would have ended as soon as he stepped out of the UK- the likes of Mancini, Ramirez, Bramble and Rosario would have beaten him with some to spare.
