Naw McCrory is pretty dull as a colour analyst - leave him in the studio thanks. I like Jim Watt cos he's a bit a grumpy cantankerous old git who can be funny to listen to, for the wrong reasons. To be fair to his scoring the guys in the studio all seemed to agree with him and I was non too confident that David had won. It was a close fight and we are talking about it being in Germany where you have to knock the guy out to win a decision.

LOL at the comment about Watt looking like he's just woken up and doesn't know where he is. You can see his head swivelling from Darke to the camera cos he's got no idea where he should be looking. Jim, look at the ****ing camera mate. :good

Anyone know ow the Germans (or the independent US PPV) scored it? I had Haye by 3 rounds.

I heard the german commentators had it for Haye, not sure about US.

One of the youtube videos of the fight has a german guy talking when the fight ends saying he thought Haye won pretty much every round.

I watched the fight this morning in german so I missed Watt. I've always been a fan of him but y'all teliing me he scored the fight for Valuev? Must be outta his ****in mind :D

I wanted Valuev to win because of Haye's badmouthing but I had the fight something like 9 rounds for Haye. Not even close. Mind you I was out partying last night so maybe I need to take a second viewing and it might be closer.

On the plus side for Jim Watt he is passionate about the noble art. He gets you "into" a fight and whether you agree or disagree with him, you suddenly are more interested in the fight.

Some colour commentators can OVER-analyse and get too technical, which to a casual fan(which there were heaps last night) would put them off.

Watt was terrible last night in my opinion. You could tell Darke was getting fed up with his ramblings aswell.

It's time for Watt to go. I'm fed up with him never changing his pre-fight prediction and sticking by it all the way through the fight!!?

Darke, at least, scored the fight the way he saw it (i.e. taking into account what was happening in the ring there and then) - Watt had obviously thought beforehand that Haye had no chance of winning on points, so he wittered on all the way through the fight.

I always thought Jim got a bit of a raw deal on here but last night he was awful. Darke however, did talk sense.

I dont see what was wrong with Watt last night. Haye did very very littel and I wasn't as confident as Booth in his corner that he was doing enough to take a title away.

Continental Europe has a reputation as being a hard place to get a decision, Haye in my opinion wasnt trying to "win" the fight he was trying to steal it, just like andre Dirrela few weeks ago against Froch.

I am glad Haye won, but I think he could have stepped up the pace more often. That said Valuev did nothing, but the onus is usually on the challenger.

    Jim Watt was absolutely horrible.

Sky sports commentary is always been below par. And I prefer HBO.

But this just showed they have not got a clue on how to score a fight.

Sky do it over and over again. Remember the Hatton fight? Against Mayweather commentator was going mad for Hatton.

It’s a joke. They are a bunch of idiots that don’t know what they are talking about.

Haye was landing punches whereas Valuev was punching thin air. I am trying to watch a fight not listen to someone talking grade A crap. It was God damm awful. He needs the sack. And he should offer a re-fund to everyone who paid to listen to his crap.

Someone email this to sky sports or let Jim Watt know how crap he is.

Good to see Hayes trainer setting Jim right in a interview with sky sports.

I dread it whoever he's paired with. What happened to ****** and McCrory? Watt is a nice fella but too self praising.

Jim Watt is a twat, he always contradicts himself. He scores the fight with Valuev winning by 3 rounds then at the end chats about how he thinks haye has won it?????
