Watt may not be best, but he is an icon of a great era of British boxing, calling (with the late, great Reg) in the late 80s and early 90s. I am comfortable with him, and he reminds me of a more successful era for the sport, to get rid of him, is just SKY taking another step a way from a great era. To be serious, Watt deserves kudos. So why not take him to the big fights, and make the odd comment during rounds as a special analyst?
I can't satand Nelson. I thinl they should get Norman Stone in. That would be awesome. "come on Johnny!"
He's definitely been guilty of doing that in previous fights. It's hard to slag him off after last night though. After the opening round it was Alvarez blasting Rhodes away, round after round, until he stopped him. I think Watt even had Rhodes winning a few rounds aswell!
only problem here is he was right from the word go, spot on with everything he said, cant slag him off for that, yeah sometimes he does not give it a few rounds to get going, but i felt after the first round looked like alvarez was going to win
Been calling for this man's head for years. Get rid of all of them and bring in Steven Holdsworth and maybe Bunce when he's not towing the company line. The rest of them are useless.
Not got a problem at all with Watt... At least the guy shows emotion in his commentating.... Something Sky football misses now that Gray is gone.
Things like are what make Watt is a legend. Rather hear that than some boring crap from Duke Mckenizie. You people will rue the day Watt goes.
funny during the Alvarez - Rhodes fight when it was mentioned it's unlikely Rhodes could win on points in Mexico, Watt was saying "you shouldn't let what the judges may think affect your gameplan" Isn't that how Watt usually scores fights!?
