Sad news. He had many appearances on Tursday Night Fights. I remember the Grimsley knockout like it was yesterday.

Sad I enjoyed his fights he never could break into contender status. Maybe with the proper management and trainer he could have.

Sad. I didn't know he had gone so down and out. At least it sounds like he had redeemed himself and found a partner in life. I have two friends going thru brain cancer at this time. It's a *****. RIP Jimmy Peau.

Sad news about Jimmy. He was highly touted here in Australia at one point as the new power punching kid on the block. His then trainer Jack Rennie gave him the name of "Jimmy Thunder" I believe and he was heavily hyped for an untested fighter. He was bowling over the usual fall guys left right and centre until he got exposed by Mike Hunter and then Derek Williams.

But to give him credit Jimmy went and based himself in the US and developed into a decent fringe fighter and a much improved one from the raw product who campaigned in Australia. As stated he always came in shape and looked to rumble and gave us all some great entertainment. Can't ask much more than that from a fighter at the end of the day.

    RIP James.

A value for money fighter; 54 is too young.
