    Great job by Young. Shows great boxing ability, counter-punching, and defensive maneuvers.
    I only had Lyle winning 2 or 3 rounds. Very very good performance by Young.

    Thanks Tommy...saw it all on that link..well except for the last round..this puts an exclamation point on my ravings about Jimmy Young..what a laid back masterpiece this fight was..effortlessly my man landed on the dangerous Lyle,..and the masterful defense of Young was showed in the tying up of Lyles arms..and I ask..was it not possible that Young helped an off balance lyle to the canvas in round 4? That constitutes a kd even if Lyle was off balance...been waiting for this fight since I first saw it umpteen years ago. WTF is wrong with YouTube anyway...."TOO LONG"????

    I watched this fight live at the time, in '77. Cosell was raving about Jimmy. Foreman was provided commentary and he and Young discussed a possible fight afterwards....which of course happend two fateful months later.

    Tommy, you da man!! Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. Beautiful boxing exhibition by the true master himself, Jimmy Young. Howard and Goerge couldn't say enough good things about him. Interesting to hear Goerges talk of how he'd fight him. Jimmy Young was the greatest!
