then he should shut his mouth about it for good.

as a free agent he will get pacquiao, and even if he loses he can still get rios, soto and he'd get bigger purses not having a promoter taking a percentage of his money. it's not like he has more than a few fights left. if he re-signs with golden boy he'll be fighting the likes of guerrero, khan and maidana, bigger fighters for less money.

golden boy are probably offering him a prominent role in their company once he retires to keep him, and that will be hard to pass up.

Yep. Sounds like Team JMM is looking to try to raise their price for Arum to pay so that JMM-Pac III can get made.

The only other option here, IMO, is that GBP is trying to sign up JMM so that Arum can't make Pac-JMM III. That's possible. It seems pretty clear that Arum wants Marquez next for Pac, and GBP always seems happy to try to screw over Arum if they can.

Both seem quite possible and one is probably exactly what's happening.

There's no guarantee he'll get that fight anyway...makes sense to go with the sure thing. He has nothing to prove by fighting Pac, at this point. But, I would like to see it at 140.

Arum will never let JMM go after one fight. He'll have an option at the very least. He would never let JMM fight Pac and win, and then let him go back to GBP.

I don't believe for one minute that JMM is having second thoughts about fighting Pac.
