How can he be when Pac has two wins over him??? Makes no sense whatsoever. Post fight highs are a *****.

The performance was impressive enough to consider him number 1, I have no problem with that whatsoever. 1a or 1b who the **** cares. Theres not enough superlatives to describe JMM. His heart and intelligence should be noted coz he has a ton of both.

One thing I must say though, Hatton as an opponent is as dangerous as it gets, this guy is unbeaten at 140 and is looking very good. He is by far a tougher opponent for Pac than Diaz was for JMM. If Pac beats Ricky, hes p4p 1 without any shadow of a doubt

hatton is 10x more dangerous than diaz... if pac KOes him that will **** over JMM's win over diaz.

but i still think that JMM deserves it... like you said his skills, smarts and will to win is top notch.

Like I said I have no problem with JMM no 1. But if Pac beats Ricky, theres no way JMM can smell number 1 as long as Pacs around.

Hatton/Pac is a toss up fight. JMM was a heavy favorite

Not too likely. His reputation is an extremely busy fighter who maintains a high work rate for the duration of his fights. What I saw was Diaz being bothered by a horrendous cut and he himself acknowledged that the blood obscured his vision and couldn't see the punches coming. It's how he lost in his only other defeat. I was extremely impressed on his ability to dictate both the space and the pace of the fight. Had he not sustained such a bad cut then who knows how the fight would have concluded.

Yeah, I think JMM can have the number 1 spot for that KO win.

But Manny's fight vs Hatton's coming up, so JMM should watch out.

It was a great win for marquez but pacman is still undefeated since he became #1 P4P so he keeps it. That's just the way it is :good
