Honestly...Hatton's overrated...He's a good fighter...but he hasnt proved to me that he's the best at 140. He beat a faded Tyszu. A shot Castillo. A bums from his own backyard...where's the merit in this?
50/50 fight imo. we haven't seen jmm @ 140 and rickys as solid as they come in his division. i could definetly see jmm outpointing Hatton with crisp jabs & counter punches but i don't know if he could actually hurt Ricky. i picked jmm based on the overall stylistic match up. i mean afterall, jmm is one of the best tech boxers aka ''master boxer'' in the sport today. jmm by decision.
I doubt JMM can beat Hatton. JMM had a good fight with Pacman, but a lot of guys have. Pacman is a better fighter than JMM and he would beat Hatton, but JMM would not. Hatton by 8 round knockout.
i don't think anyyone can really make a valid prediction. no telling what JMM might lose moving to 140.
I wonder how JMM will carry his power at 140. He already has the style to beat Hatton. I just don't know how effective he will be if he finds out that he cannot dent the armor of the heavier guy. And vice-versa, I'm also not sure if JMM can take a good pounding if Hatton was able to force his way inside.
very debateable indeed.. If you put them side by side, it looks like hatton would have the advantage but jmm is pretty crafty...
Love JMM but at 140 he's not going to be effective. Hatton by KO.....to big and strong and aggressive for JMM.
he just beat what everyone was saying was the #2 in the division, more desicivly than cotto, barely losing a round. and the "faded tyszu" that you talk about would have beaten everyone else at 140 then and now.
