At Welterweight because hes a very small welter. Against JMM he'd be the bigger/stronger man, not to mention much faster, hence I'd go with Judah
Even with EMM in his corner, I still see Judah fading and Marquez doing more effective counters. My vote goes to Marquez.
What's so funny about that? His point was pretty spot on. Floyd is a defensive fighter that can outclass a fighter for 12 rounds, Judah is an attacker. He would aim to hurt Marquez. Marquez would take lots of hard shots against an athlete way faster & stronger than he is. Judah can probably destroy Marquez.
This is a good fight, I would rather see this than him against diaz again. I mean atleast it is something different. And both have their advantages and disadvantages.
I dont think its that far fetched. JMM has been taking a lot of shots especially in the early rounds. Judah, a fast south paw with good power will surely be landing the straight left on him early. JMM does get dropped rather often as well.
Yes, your "not half the brains or balls" statement is a little iffy. I don't reference to often to a man's testicular fortitude, but if you watched Judah's fight with Cotto then you would know Judah has more balls than anything else. And to be truthfully honest, Marquez brings NOTHING to the table that can hurt Judah the way Cotto did.
I did watch the Cotto "He hit me in my dick! My dick hurts!" fight...One of the 4 in his 0-4 in the last 4 title fights, as I mentioned. Not really a "winner" anymore, is he? I mean, when you've got his athletic gifts and masturbate to your own greatness all night in a decision loss to Baldomir...Yeah, okay. He'll destroy Marquez. That's fine.
Well, he did in fact get hit in the dick. And that does in fact hurt. It hurts alot actually. In any case, you bringing up 0-4 in his last 4 title fights(fact, he has lost) and bringing up the loss to Baldomir(another fact, he did lose) doesn't mean a fighter that's not even proven at 140 beats him. Guys Zab has lost to in recent time were pretty big welterweights. Cotto & Clottey. And Judah was never really a welterweight, just a talented fighter making 147. With Judah's recent setbacks against fighters bigger than he is, doesn't warrant that Marquez beats him.
No, I agree, it doesn't warrant that at all. But I don't see a cause for assuming he'd destroy him, let alone at a weight he hasn't fought at in years. He's actually fought above the WW limit a couple times since leaving 140. To me, at this point Judah is now unproven at 140, because I don't know how viably he can get down there at his age. And there's no question he was hit in the dick. Fair enough on that, my brother.
JMM knocks him out late or wins by easy clear UD. First two rounds won't be a big deal for Marquez either, at most he might get rocked and counter with something to wobble Judah.
Point well taken. However I say Judah punishes Marquez based on Marquez inability to see a straight left hand. I know styles make fights, but Pac landed his at will and dropped Marquez 4 times with it. 3 times in the first fight, and again in the rematch. While Pac is my favorite fighter, I'll actually dare to say that Judah's straight left might be sharper. Even Floyd had trouble timing it early on, and ate quite a few upstairs. Marquez is a great fighter, but I honestly feel Judah may actually be a bad match for him. Yes, Judah fought a couple times at 154, but come on, those were against jobbers. He could have beat those guys while taking a **** after a long night of drinking. I think he's gonna make the weight ok. If what he said on twitter was true and he's at 146 right now, then I think he'll be fine. But I guess we'll just see what happens in the fight. I'm a Judah fan and even I'll admit everything with him is a roller coaster.
