He as got one fight left and fair enough choosing RJJ isn't bad because he may have a better chance of keeping is undefeated record than fighting pavlik who would give him kittens after what he did to lockett. But why split from warren the same week he said he won't fight pavlik, bit of suspicion there. He May have split with warren due to the fact that warren was championing the fight with Pavlik more than RJJ.

my point is that he probably couldn't give a flying **** if people don't like him outside the UK.

Right, and my point is why did he bother coming to the US then? And we're all aware hw spoke about wanting American fans.

I think everyone is jumping the gun on the jones fight. jones will want way to much money might never happen unless joe takes less than jones

I think the Only reason he went to america is that he didn't want to be known as an hometwon fighter. But isn't it true that he want RJJ in wales.

I don't actually have the time to go through youtube and find him saying that he wants American fans, I also can't argue with someone from something called "the Joe C. Mafia". We all know Joe called out Kelly and then backed down after he beat Lockett so badly, so in answer to this thread yes, Joe Calzaghe is a hipocrite.

He went to the US because Bernard would not go to Wales, and because he could make a freaking mint, and at the same time set the stage to make an even larger mint against RJJ. Calzaghe's nearly 37. He knows he's at least four or five years past his prime and wisely is taking the 'farewell tour', and making a fortune in the process.

Joe is not a hypocrit. This fight is right in line with his philosphy of fighting Euro stiffs and geriatrics. He doesn't want to fight a prime fighter who isn't a straight up and down European fighter. That's why he tried to wiggle his way out of the Lacy fight(I give him credit for coming to his senses though), that's why he wanted no parts of prime Roy, that's why he ducked Glen Johnson, and that's why he's dismissing Pavlik. No hypocrisy, Joe has been consistent.

How much - and give me figures, estimated - will a RJJ Calzaghe fight bring, vs a Pavlik Calzaghe fight?

Kelly will have the public's seal of approval. Kelly is skilled, in prime, has a name, and have the public's attention. Roy is not a top draw anymore. The Lockett whooping prolly scared the hell out of joe for joe prolly sparred with lockett and found out that kelly punch hurts more than slaps.

Not really, I expected Hopkins to lose. You know why? Because he's 43 ****in years old. He hadn't fought in about a year and didn't look too good against Winky. Even though I expected Hopkins to lose, I knew he would make it tough on Joe. I knew this because, even though Hopkins is a senior citizen, he's not the typical straight up and down Euro who folds under pressure that Joe is used to fighting.
