Kessler maybe but I think Calzaghe struggles big time with Froch. He wouldn't be able to overwhelm him.

froch was never a player when joe was SMW king - he hadn't even fought taylor yet so he was junior witter to joe's ricky hatton

look, i'm a big critic of joe and how he and war+en avoided the fights that really mattered outside of SMW - but if you think joe had more work to do at SMW to prove himself then you're dreaming

No he wasn't Junior Witten to Joe's Hatton. How can you say that? He simply was just coming up and Calzaghe was seeking big money, not young, hungry challengers.

Not half of his 21 oppoents were "players"...Fighting and beating Froch would of done wonders for Joe's legacy. He was top ten ranked when Joe wanted no part of him. Hennessy offered him millions. You missed the boat when this was proved. Now shut your mouth piece, you understand me...

what do you think the difference was between someone like carl froch at that time and nathan cleverley?

fighters with zero US exposure, who have never fought in the US, have no international fanbase, and no network interest are always left with work to do

why do you think a fighter who has none of these things deserves a fight with someone who has taken bigger fights and has a bigger profile?

my mouth piece won't be silenced on a boxing forum dedicated to opinions

hennessey can offer all he wants - joe was after beaten, dethroned and 40+ roy and bernard at that time - MUCH bigger names

I'm pretty sure I already did. I said: Froch was coming up and Calzaghe was seeking big money, not young, hungry challengers. Not sure what makes Froch a "Witter". Besides being British and unknown then.

go back to the post i made where i mentioned cleverley and you got sidetracked - forget the first sentence (where cleverley's name is mentioned), and read the rest

you'll see the legitimacy of the comparison i was making

if you still disagree after reading the full post - after - then i'd like to hear why you disagree

Who was Sakio Bika at the time Calzaghe fought him? Or Evans Ashira? Being unknown didn't matter then.
