No one can withstand the wind-slaps of Joe Calzaghe.

He looked really tired in Abraham fight and Abraham spent a lot of the time on the back foot in that fight ward was tired after round 5 against a guy who is hardly known for his overwhelming workrate.
And for someone who isnt known for a knockout punch like ward he hasnt got that in his locker to end a fight early, he will probably have more 12 round fights to come so stamina will be a big problem for him going forward if he doesnt improve it.

By the way who do you have winning the ward v dawson fight?

Thats a pickem to me .

And Ward beat AA soundly and was just tagging AA at will down the strecth .I have to disagree if anything he may have started slow but picked up the pace as the fight went into the later rds .

I was at that fight, and agree. Ward started off a little slowly, then made an adjustment and started landing almost at will. If anything, AA slowing down allowed Ward to coast a little bit because he was winning the fight so handily without having to over exert himself.

Ward seemed to rally in last couple of rounds but before that looked tired, a lot of boxers tend to rally late on just to catch the judges eyes
He wasnt in danger of losing the fight as abraham was not great, but he was tired

The dawson fight depends on which dawson turns up, if he comes to fight then we know ward will come to fight and we will see a good one.
But if dawson goes in with the attitude he sometimes does, which is lazy and do just enough it could be really ugly

I actually do think this would be a close fight... Almost a pick em for me in a neutral area..

If Andre had to go to Wales he loses for sure... Some of those stoppages of Calzghe's were disgraceful to the sport of boxing... makes me realize he for sure had the refs and most likely the judges in his pocket.

Why the hell would American fighters want to go there? Some of Calzaghe's fights were stopped when the other guy wasn't even hurt.

Seemed AA didn't have much answers for Ward after the 6th ..He was just taking Ward's combos with little to no return fire .
