You really don't know or are you just saying you wish he wasn't a boxing commentator? It's pretty obvious why virtually all of the people who are involved in boxing are. What do Bob Arum, Max Kellerman, Steve Weisfeld, Harold Lederman, Al Bernstein, Barry Tompkins and Larry Merchant all have in common?

Just like people thought he'd be vulnerable to Lacy's power. Fat lot of good having power did Lacy when he couldn't land a single clean punch in 12 rounds. A fighter who's "only weapon" is power is not going to beat Calzaghe.

No...I have said nothing about Lacy in connection to Spinks. I was commenting solely on some guy saying Calzaghe would be vulnerable to Edison Miranda, it was a comment made about a potential Miranda/Calzaghe match-up, not a Spinks/Calzaghe one. Try to follow the coversation a bit better in the future and not take my comments out of context.

Calzaghe vs spinks would be a highly competitive fight

Calzaghe would have a chance. Murray Sutherland and others did ok with Spinks, and they were not as good as Joe.

Sadly Joe's career legacy is categorised by would beat and should beat. He just didn't have enough career defining fights considering his abilities, and he can only blame himself for that.

Too many world title defences against mediocre fighters, too many big legacy fights missed.

froch, benn, eubank, collins and hatton would be undefeated if they fought joes level of opposition, easy.

in fact throw in Amir Khan as well probably.

His punching power was still very much devastating when he moved up from MW .

That 1 punch knockout over David Banks took at 168 if you didn't know .

Carl Froch could have arguably won both fights against Kessler .

Froch never fought the best version of Kessler.

    Calzaghe did.

And besides, I would not pick Froch over the version of Hopkins Calzaghe fought at LHW. Bernie would have schooled him. Just like he did Pavlik and Tarver.

Froch would have put the version of RJJ Calzaghe fought into a coma though.
