Maybe. I don't think so, but I wouldn't say it's impossible. I don't think we ever saw the best of RJJ, there was never anyone in front of him in his prime who could push him to his limits, make him eat some shots and fight HARD to win. Spinks might have been able to do that. I don't think Foster could, pure power isn't enough to threaten RJJ, Jones would just move around him and potshot all night.

Calzaghe would fight at 175 for most of his career under same day weigh-ins.

    Just as Spinks did.

Spinks was bigger, but not to the extent where he totally belonged in another division.

I think Calzaghe would've been a solid contender at 175 in that era, or hold a title at one point.

    Me? Explain.

You think Calzaghe beats a prime Spinks?

Hell, a prime Jones probably loses to a prime Spinks.

Spinks is becoming criminally underrated around here.He beats all 3 of the aforementioned, perhaps by ko.Come to think of it,so does Qawi.

Sorry Stealer. Just read initial post.:patsch
    Excuse my ignorance sir.
For the record I think Spinks rapes Calzaghe.

The Spinks-Jones question I think is a tougher one...really tough.

Spinks had an awkward enough style and the needed handspeed to puzzle Calzaghe. I think Spinks beats him, not sure it would be a blowout, though. As much as I hated Calzaghe's guts, he was a damn good fighter.

Spinks was the man, go watch some fights of his. I respect the hell out of Joe Calzaghe but Spinks wins.

Awkward style, handspeed, bigger guy with some pop. He beat some bad dudes.

Kellerman has always played the advocate for the modern.

Spinks would decapitate Calzaghe in my opinion - But it is an interesting fight all the same.

Kellerman has to say that or Joe wont "line him up" anymore.

That other thread with the all time 20 LHW's had Spinks 3rd after Charles and Moore.

Not many historians will give that call much creedence.

That said - Did Kellerman at least back up his claim with a stylistic analysis to justify his position?
