Are you saying here that Calzaghe was gifted victories where he lost by corrupt officials ? I know he won decisions against Reid and Hopkins, which were close but both times I think he won.
greetings to an esb all time great in mind reader :happy yes it would be better to look at their best wins pal but as many on here like to bring up the bums calzaghe fought, then in return i've outlined the poor opposition that hopkins, toney, and jones fought in they're reigns to highlight the sheer hypocrisy. inparticularly james toney's reign at 168 is possibly the most farcial run of opposition ever faced by any champion in the history of the sport :deal another good way to compare all 4 is to highlight who each fighter lost to. for instance, i find it hard to imagine calzaghe losing to clinton mitchell and jermaine taylor twice, drawing with mercado and pascal, and throwing himself outta the ring and feigning injury like a complete ***** against robert allen and chad dawson. calzaghe wanted to entertain his fans and not rob them of they're hard earned money by getting fights called off like a fraud :yep similarly, would calzaghe have got the **** kicked out of him by dave tiberi, sanderline williams, and drake thadzi and squeaked a split decision v sosa despite being a multiple steroid cheat :think with regards to calzaghe moving up to heavyweight and beating ruiz, no i don't think he could have done that because he relied on trading punches too much and because he wouldn't carry enough power with his hand problems. with regards to jones and toney, the steroid issue will always be prominent in my mind when assessing them and rightly so. a fighter taking steroids is the lowest of the low imo :deal
always couldda wouldda with joe cal. that is the only certainty, wouldda couldda shouldda comes up in every post.
