Did Joe ever spar with Cooper? I realize he was much older. But I remember reading how Joe sparred with Leon Spinks and they say he used to clean up on him...

I used to watch Bert and Marvis spar. Real tooth an nail sessions.
I got Joe without a whole lot of problems here.

Tough match you have Frazier whos weakness was hard punchers and then Coopers whos weakness was heart and consistency along with drugs?Cant really go on one fight with having holyfield hurt, would guess Frazier makes him quit late rounds.

    I think it's a good matchup...laugh if you will.

I think the difference lies in that Frazier was better defensively and yes, was stouter of heart.
But you know, Cooper could whack. I mean, really whack. And he was tough when on and strong as an ox. Their styles are so similar. He fought in an era of bigger men than Joe and I think for a few rounds this is anyone's fight.

I think Joe is better in the trenches but by golly Cooper would have some great moments in there.
It's a matchup that in terms of legacy is a complete mismatch but in reality is pretty close if you ask me.

Cooper just didn't have Joe's fighting spirit but still...it'd be a really fan-friendly fight and for me, not one-sided.

Not really much to add. The couple sessions I saw were very tough sessions with no one dominating the other.
I never saw Joe spar at that time but it doesn't mean he didnt

    Correction.

Frazier's weakness was super human punchers who could also push and shove extremely well.
