I don't think Benn would have feared Jones as a fighter, but i think the mental aspect involved if the fight ever came to be would have been devasting for Benn, especially when you read about his troubles outside of boxing. And you're right, I'm sure the sense of guilt would have made Benn less of what he was capable of in the ring with Jones because of that, and since we know Jones can also box a bit and was looking for 'revenge'.
Prime for prime, JC beats RJJ. I watched one of RJJ's "fireman fights" the other day. His opponent was a punching bag bought in for the RJJ circus. JCC would have stood in front of RJJ and kept punching him for 12 rounds. RJJ would land some punches but his power was not enough to stop JC and his unorthodox technique looks good but would not be that effective against a guy like JC who throw a large volume of punches.
atsch Prime for prime Jones would have finished Joe off in the first or second round. Joe was able to kinda out-distance the two older fighters in Jones and Hopkins. In thier primes its doubtful that Joe would have finished the fights.
