Once again he was useless in preparing the tactics BEFORE the fight, useless in the corner DURING the fight, and useless in the media AFTER the fight.....

How anyone can rate this plug at this stage is beyond me. He is a disaster.

In fairness, Liam Smith is a notoriously slow starter and the plan, to me anyway, seemed to be to come on strong late in the fight in an attempt to "drown Williams".

It was all Williams early, 100% disagree with Gallagher telling Smith he won the first 2... **** knows where he got that from.

The doctor was lurking around in the corner in between rounds looking at the eye, Gallagher was rather clever in some of the comments he was making... almost planting seeds in the doctors head so he didn't dare attempt to stop the fight.

Williams had the fight early, no questions. I didn't give Smith a single of the first 5 rounds.

However he was starting to come on and Williams was tiring, Beefy was taking hold of the fight.

I have lost all confidence in Joe at this stage. It just keeps happening with him, sadly. There come a point where one more goof-up is one too many.

I don't really give two hoots about Joe Gallagher either way, but you are bordering on obsession with him. Give it a rest.

A fighter doing 'slightly less bad' than he was in previous rounds is hardly 'taking hold of the fight' as you put it...you cant expect Williams to maintain that pace forever in fairness. He was due a round off having won like 6 in a row. Dont forget Beefy was badly cut too. Plus Smith had the added disadvantage of having Joe Gallagher in his corner.

It was plain to see Smith was getting a foot hold in the fight and was taking over...

Williams was tiring, Smith was coming on strong and there were still 3 rounds to go

Even if ..IF.....he'd won all remaining rounds I doubt he couldve won the fight on points. He was more than 3 rounds down with 3 to go. Mathematically he was in big trouble.
The head butt...and crooked/incompetent officiating... 'won' the fight for him. Nudge nudge...wink wink...

Smith is a notoriously slow started because thats how gallagher tells his fighters to fight! Same tactics for every fighter in big fights

Smith was well beaten on my score card, however he was taking over and looked like he would of stopped him I the fight continued. Great decision by Gary locket In every way. Rematch please

Not sure about that. Smith was on the ascendancy but it was a 20 second period at the end of the round where Williams was being pummelled. He could have gotten a second wind and made it through, although as we saw he would have then been robbed on the ridiculous scorecards that had Smith just one behind.

Gallagher got lucky last night, his wait for the other guy to gas tactics came off because of the cut to williams eye.

he looked like he had got to him in that last round and was about to take over. The stoppage may of came it may have not but If the rest of the fight continues the way the second half of the last round went smith would of won on the cards and Williams would of been robbed. I'm sure the rematch will happen and Gallagher and Smith can co slider them selfs lucky

I think Gallagher can get fighters winning a world belt, did good jobs getting Corolla, quit, beefy to them positions as I don't really rate them that highly, beyond that, unifications and fighting the elite no chance.

To be fair, out of Quigg, Smith and Crolla, which of them actually fought a top 5-10 ring ranked opponent to win there world title?

Crolla had the hardest fight out of all of them, even Perez isn't considered that good either on the world scene.

the guy Smith beat (Thompson), he won something like 5 of the 6 rounds Until Smith stopped him also. Sorry but if your losing that poorly to even an opponent of that Calibre your not world class.
