Conteh was a very good fighter, but he wasn't as tough as Conn..I don't think it would have been a good career move for Conteh.
No he wouldn't. He'd lose, and lose clearly, but he wouldn't die. Fact is, Conteh was the same size as many Louis opponents, has the jab to compete, and was only stopped way past his best and physically shot. Yes, Louis would stop him. But let's not act like Conteh would get starched as quick as Lewis, or do worse than Pastor.
Conteh was a fun guy but I very much doubt he'd pound Lillie Barrow right there in the stadium. It's unlikely she would have even attended.
I certainly don't think he'd beat Louis. This is a troll thread anyway, as the OP thinks Conteh is overrated.
He wasn't great, no, and does indeed fall into 'potential' status, but some make him out to be a Tony Ayala case. Plenty of footage of Conteh looking a fighter of the very highest level, against top contenders, for me to consider a brilliant H2H force. Better on film than Galindez, no doubt.
Galindez was one of those fighters who you'd wish to stand in the mirror for a few hours and ask themselves "do I fight like I look? Because I look like a caveman, a beast." Frustrating boxer.
