That was ALREADY said - Seamus’ comment an obvious reply to same. Blinker off, you’re stuck on the round a bout and holding up traffic.

    I just said my point.
I said that Liston never knocked anyone close to Liston caliber.

Well, you’ve clearly missed my point. Never mind.

Two of the all-greats. Prime Liston might be the greatest ever H2H but if there is anyone I’d pick to beat him, it’d be Louis. But it’s not a confident pick.

    Excuses.
Louis was same age in his last fight for his last fight but unlike Liston, he was 2 years unactive because a war.
But not anyone mentioned that, there are only excuses for Liston right?

Easy money for me. Liston by brutal KO within a few rounds.

Liston was 50 years old when he fought Martin, Louis was 37 vs Marciano.

In the end, there is no safe pick. Liston is not overrated. He was a monster. Louis is the second greatest heavyweight in history. This is a top level match-up. And moreso, their styles would make a very dangerous, and entertaining, fight, both coming forward to set up their offense. I wouldn't lay a dime on it either way.

Liston was 39, Louis was 37.
Louis did not fought for 2 years or even more while Liston did.
Liston was in shape while Louis was balding old man.
Lous was older and looked older than Listom plus he was in worse shape than Liston.

Liston was around 50, not 39. He was born in the early 1920s.

I think that it's an awkward one for Louis though I always was very interested to think about what would happen in a fight where Louis clearly wouldn't want ring-centre and where trapping his opponent into the space would be made that muchmore difficult. Liston qualifies I'd say.

The lazy statement is Louis earlyish or Liston later or Louis very late :lol: So much could happen here though.

    Not true.
Liston was born between 1930 and 1932, most like early 1930.
Liston siblings said that he was born in 1930, also Liston mother put his birth date on a tree.
Tree was cut but last numbers were 30.
When Liston was asked about what his mother claimed and if that is true he replied:
Are you calling my mom a liar?
So he was not in his 40s or 50s so you could want excuse when he lost against fighters.
He was 39 for Martin fight while Louis was 37, but Louis was inactive for 2 years or even more because WW2.
