Interesting then that you felt the need to start another, identical thread with a slightly different title.
McGrain where did you find such a terrific Frazier photo like that. You're always sporting some nice rare Frazier shots. You should hook me up with how you get them.
Of course it's total nonsense that Louis was knocked down in first rounds by boxers named Jersey Joe Walcott, Buddy Baer, and Jim Braddock. Honorable mention of Tony Galento who (didn't) stagger(ed) Louis in round one.
Yes, I see Vitali frequently measuing and pawing with his left hand but I don't see him loading up with too many committed punches. Calling these misses that could possibly aggrevate a shoulder injury is a stretch, though I don't doubt just using the left in this fashion didn't help the pain he was complaining about since Round 3. A healthy Vitali actually committing to his left hand against the frustrating southpaw Juan Gomez, busting him up and controlling the entire fight with it. This thread has actually gone on for this many pages? What the **** is going on here classic? This is some general lounge ****, not classic material and I haven`t even read a single post! Time to let this thread die and talk about more interesting topics, and for the record: Louis TKO8 Vitaly :bbb
I havent got the time to fully analyse the tape, but is it fair to say, based solely on the picture that Vitali doesnt protect his chin when he jabs? If so, is this the same flaw that Max Schmelling exploited with the young and undertrained Joe Louis? I imagine Ali, himself would have a bit of a field day when he slipped the jab and started opening up himself.
I was in the Muhammad Ali vs Vitali Klitschko thread today. It just didn't feel like home! I'm glad to be back in this thread! HONEY!!! I'M HOME!!!
