After Schmeling hit Louis with the big overhand right, in the 5th round I think it was, it took him about 7 rounds to get the KO. As for the Klitschko TKO by Sanders, it is clear he was never physically hurt. Look at his body language, what you will see is a man who totally shocked by the circumstances and wants to quit. He isn't a real fighter and Sanders brought that out. If he had made an effort to survive and get back in the fight he would have.

Right on the button! Louis was never a quitter!! That would be Wlads undoing in this matchup. Louis easily by KO7, without a doubt!

Not sure how you're looking at what version of Louis, but I'll take the one that won against Schmeling in the rematch by KO in 1938.

Klitschko has the tools but I believe this will come down to the intangibles and favor Louis by TKO 10.

Klitschko would no doubt win rounds and could even be ahead on the cards, but Louis rght hand is the equalizer and Klitschko wont be able to hold as effectively as he did vs Peter whom went the distance. Louis is too clever for that inside! I see him landing a short six inch right to say goodnight!!!

Yes indeed, Klitschko does have the tools, but he doesn't use them. It is rare in any era for a man to be physically superior in the way that Klitschko is in this current heavyweight division. Have you ever noticed how easily he can toss his opponents aside like a dish rag? These are big strong men, yet he can push them around so easily. What he can't handle is them fighting back.

    :good

It would be a very exciting fight, IMO. I envision both being hurt and a couple momentum swings.

Whats consistent when Klitschko gets hurt is s certain window of opportunity. A moment where he's hittable, and finishable. Wlad was able to tie up Peter who didnt have the skills or experience to finish the job.

When that window is seen threw on that fantasy night? I see The Brown Bomber drooping the HIROSHIMA as Wlad's desperately trying to recooperate so he can hold onto a points win.

    Here's an interseting read:

You're right, my bad. I thought about it later, it was around the 5th round and Joe probably ate 20 more over hand rights to end the fight in the 12th..
Kinda' disagree with you on the Klit thing, though, that was a helluva' punch that put him down, and he kept getting up.

Bad match up for Joe, as much as I prefer him to Wlad, Wlad would KO him if they fought.

The list of names who went for Louis here are a useful reference if you are wanting to know which posters here are lost causes.

    Wlad by easy KO.
