Nope, profressional broadcasts need a Goldberg or a Lampley to go along with expert commentators like Joe Rogan or George Foreman or Roy Jones Jr., etc. These broadcasts to retain casual fan interest must have a smooth flow to them that pros like Goldberg and Lampley provide in spades. A guy like Bas Rutten teamed up with Rogan would quickly degenerate into some frat-boy party type atmosphere with quips and silly comments detracting from the fighters efforts. Goldberg is an awesome public speaker who rivals Lampley's ability to pump up the volume and transmit excitement and energy to the viewing and listening audience. Sure, he is a bit of a prettyboy and likes to play dress-up but most T.V. presenters tend this way. T.V. never picks ugly people to sell their product so pretty clotheshorse types generally make the cut. At least Goldberg has some serious talent and Joe and him are a great team who actually seem to like each other.
Goldberg started going on about how Demian was rocked in the first... atsch Does he even know who the fighters are or does he just go by the red or blue tape? Bring back Bas... Can you imagine if Mauro and Goldberg were a team... :admin Lynchburg
