He loves his ten rounders

I'm not gonna say nothing..... I've been critical of him before and very little has changed in his career from what I can see.

    Shame.

I think he should be building toward something for starters.

If I were a fan of his.... I'd be asking the following:

    1. Is he going to fight at 154 or 160?
    2. When does he plan on fighting for titles?
    3. In the meantime, does he not fancy winning titles in Europe?
    4. Why has his career stagnated so badly after a promising start?

I mean, he's past 30 now and been pro a long time.... fought on plenty of decent cards. Is that the limit of his ambition, or does he have serious goals.

I hope that doesn't sound like hating, but I'd have lost patience a while ago. He had the good win over Eastman two years ago, and has fought what can only be described as average fighters ever since.

The loss he suffered might well be due to lack of motivation/poor prep on his part, because he couldn't raise himself for the challenge.

    1. He already said his future is at 160
    2. He plans to fight for a title as soon as he can get in a position to, he was going to fight Verno Philips for the LMW title but the whole promoter thing blew up.
    3. He doesnt qualify for a European title at the moment, the majority of his fan base is in America and Uncle Bob wants him for his cards because he is a ticket seller.
    4. Why? this is why - http://www.secondsout.com/columns/thomas-hauser/the-truth-about-john-duddy

The same excuses will still be here this time next year, same with Ajose Olusegun, John Murray and a host of others.

Good luck to him. Hopefully he gets a good looking win and proves himself ready to make another tilt at getting near the titles.

Well atleast he's fighting someone with a good record although he has been fighting at welterweight-light-middle most of his career.

It is easy sometimes to forget how awful John Duddy is. But still good luck to him.

I never said he would, but why laugh at him ?

Just enjoy him for what he is.
