The fact that he was circling left and still got hit with that hook must've been annoying. To me it looked like VJ tried to extend his arm for a jab? not sure what he was doing with his right hand out there... I assume he miscalculated which punch was coming? the result might be why coaches typically try to keep everything close to home, don't extend your hands to parry - did VJ do that anywhere else?
