I think McGuigan was right to be honest. Not so much about throwing him in with the power of McCall, but he's definitely ready for Williams. Williams looks terrible, he doesn't need preperation for that.

Thaxton's point about having to defend the belt was a nonsense because there is nobody decent to defend it against anyway.

Actually I think the offer from the McCalls for Fury to fight Olivers son first and then Oliver if he wins was a fair one. Olivers son by all accounts isn't too bad. And and if Fury wins it hypes the fight with Oliver. Win Win really.

Thats what I meant about learning from it. He arrived so late for the weigh in that it was too late do take any more weight off when he failed the first time. His team need to be more professional over thing like that.

Enough messing about Hennessy. Murray needs two more fights this year and big fights they have to be. If the Thaxton fight can't be made then JM needs to fight Mezzaache and this fight with Prescott, that has been mooted, should be getting made. Make it for the end of the year. Prescott battered Khan (forget the Rubio nonsense for a moment) he battered him. If Murray takes Prescott down, in what would be a barnstormer, what a feather in the cap for him.

Agree with a previous post JM looked like a man possessed. If he continues to fight like that he will be handful for anyone. 27-0 at 24yrs old. A good number for someone so young.

Yeah, this was in Boxing News a few weeks back. McCall Jr. was offered and Hennessy wanted it on tonight's show but they it was too soon and needed more time to prepare.

murray is strong, However he has so many fundamental flaws, he walks into shots comes in straight lines, squares up a lot, leads with hooks and doesn't have a legit jab. he's ganna have a lot of problems with smart boxers above this level

I thought they should have shaved his beard and hair- that would have done the job no problem.

I think it would be a good fight, Jonno has a lot of pride and blows hot'n cold a bit.

When I think of Thaxton recently I think of Romanov scything through him though....

This Barnes is a terrible Naz impersanator.

He can't time his punches at all and doesn't have any speed.

I think Thaxton gives Murray a lot to think about- Thaxton aint going over easily. I still think he's got the goods to do Thaxton on points though- in the second half of the Mezache fight Thaxton was really tired.

Good fight tonight. But I think Murray is just short of being a world champion, he gets hit too often at this level and against a top fighter he will get hit even more and even harder, he's not particularly quick either...would love to see thaxton/murray next

He's fallen over about 4 times overextending, he has the balance of a drunken man.

He got decked hard on the chin also

    Utter clown thus far.
