Wait John Ruiz actually has fans?

I hope to god that Ruiz doesn't win this fight. I'm not much of a Haye fan but I could see him bringing some excitement to a very dull division atm. If Ruiz wins all we get is another decade of Hug o' Wars

Ruiz is probably more dangerous to Haye than people think,i dont see him coming in and getting knocked out early,he has avoided any disasters like that since the Tua fight which is a long time ago now.I think he will give Haye some real problems for a while but eventually Haye will get to him,Ruiz is getting a bit old now and i think the speed of Haye will be a big factor.Ruiz wont be a push over but he wont win.

Haye has a very strange style of fighting, in that he don't seem to have a jab. At least, not one that is very prolific.

Haye stalks with his head down and his hands low (very dangerous) and waits to counter his opponent with a hayemaker meant to take someone out with one shot. He don't work behind the jab, as most boxers do. At least, not nearly as much as most boxers do.

But Haye can get away with that. His style of not working behind the jab very much, and just waiting, and unloading when he sees an opening has gotten him a long way, given his speed and knockout power.

Haye will make Ruiz look like clown shoes. Count on it.

Those of you talking about Haye's speed are discussing his hand speed. He isnt that good on his feet. Sure, he was able to move against valuev, which is no big deal, a 46 yr old Holyfield moved around valuev like a 25 yr old kid. Against Ruiz, haye's footwork will be a problem.

RJJ had much faster hands than Haye and better footwork, this is the key, the footwork. Wait until haye cannot get away from Ruiz and Ruiz makes this figth ugly and wears Haye down.

Haye will tire, badly. He is going to be heavy and more thickly muscled. The more muscle u have the more it affects your stamina. This fight is going to the later rounds and Johnny Ruiz will tko him via exhaustion.

And no I am not a Ruiz fan, everything said here is true he is like Jason from the friday the 13th u cant kill him! But, this is a matter of styles here and believe me I hope I am wrong, i just dont see it.

Exactly. Ruiz has all the boxing ability of a high-grade clubfighter, which is why he has to cheat to "win" fights at the world class level. Haye is going to destroy him.

I'm sorry Scott. I had no idea that Haye had worked his way up through the HW ranks to earn the title shots (Wlad and Vitali) other HW's would kill for. What did he do both times? Back out. Then what falls into his lap? ANOTHER title shot, with the weakest champion in the division!

What HW's has he fought to work up to these big fights? None. Who is this guy blowing to get these breaks?

I thought he popped on to the scene from Cruiser and started calling people out, then someone gave him a title fight because they thought it would make money.

Scott, I don't know how else to say this... so I'm just going to say it.

Where do you dipshits come from?

Do you even follow this sport, or do you get all of information from the announcers on TV?

Hard to tell. Haye not proven at all at Heavy. don't rate Ruiz much but would't say that to his face.
