For some reason I thought that it was Billy with a shaved head, you must admit that they are of the same, errr, proportions :deal

Who do you reckon john will face next? i know he wants the british but with lindsay not fighting till feb you think john may make another defence of the commonwealth 1st? if so who would you like to see him fight?

He has to defend his Commonwealth title against one of the named contenders by 31st March or the title will be vacated. Most of the names are unrealistic or uninteresting but the one that interest me is a rematch with Paul Appleby.
I personally would like to see John fight for the European I think he has proven himself at this level and I don't see why he should wait around until May or possibly later to take on the winner of Martin Lindsay-Jamie Arthur. Sadly that won't happen because the European champion is defending in February.

I agree and really would love to see John go for the European but sadly Yefimovych is taking on Isaev in February so that takes that out. And there aren't any decent Commonwealth Featherweights so sadly he really is stuck for a meaningful fight.

He has been in the ring once in 18 months and that was 8 months ago in a 6 rounder against James Ancliff. So although potentially decent from the looks of his record would be hugely up against considering that lay off and lack of experience. The best African contender is Emmanuel Tagoe who is 6-1 and has a loss to Lante Addy. Sadly there just aren't many options available for him unless he takes a non title fight against a top european contender which I wouldn't be against but doubt will happen.
