That would have WAR written all over it for how long it's last. Their styles would really gel.

I think Garton would KO him in 7-9 rounds.

I went for Benn points. I think he’s not great but gets far too much criticism on here.

Voted Garton points but meant ko.
That French kick boxer beat benn in their first fight and I'd hardly call Benn convincing in the rematch. Garton has too much heart for Benn to deal with. Benn has a bit of heart when heavy under dogs knock him over but let's see what he's like in an even match. I think eubank Jr will have a better legacy then Benn

Its funny that Conor is talking about this fight it seems like a step too far at this stage.

Garton appears to be too tough and seasoned, but Conor might give him a good fight.

I'm not sure on that one mate. He is a flawed, albeit entertaining, fighter who's fighting at the wrong weight. He's also Not helped by his surname or the early hype provided by matchroom.

Sooner or later people will want to see him step up and unless he's dramatically improved, he's in serious trouble.

it's been amazing ..and shocking.... to witness the savage criticism leveled at the lad Benn. That would NEVER happen here in Ireland. Steve Collins brat has taken up the pro game and not only has he failed to live up to Steve's and Nigel's legend but bless him he is leagues below even Conor... .but you wont find a bad word said about him over here. What is it with you Brit fans .. .knocking Your Own! We don't do a lot right in Ireland ...(one look at the state of the place will tell you that). .. but at least we don't knock our own. Fair play to Conor. Give the boy a chance.

Personally I don't believe in backing someone just because they happen to come from the same patch of land as I do.

If theres a good British fighter who also happens to be a nice guy and conducts himself well, then yeah I'll get behind them.. but merely coming from the same place as me, nah.

Prime example of this is Haye vs Klitschko. I wanted Klitschko to win over the Brit. Klitschko is respectful, and conducts himself well, whereas Haye acted like an idiot throughout the build up. Half my family are from Bermondsey and around that way, but I was backing the Ukranian.

Rather support a decent guy from the other side of the world than a tw*t from round the corner.

    1) Backing someone purely because of their nationality - even if it is your own - is something that has never made sense to me. "We don't know our own" is such an odd thing to be proud of. That delusion led to people genuinely thinking McGregor was going to bear Floyd.
    2) People get the arse with Benn because he's been used on PPV cards in fights below area level. If he was on Goodwin shows at York Hall fighting there, no one would really mind. In fact I dare say it'd have been much better for his development
