Risko brings his hard hat and his lunch pail and scores a late KO. Tate was a soft frontrunner and not a hardened survivor from the Age of Real Men.

Grit over brawn? Will to win and other "intangibles" over physical talent?

Why do you assume Risko to be strong on the former, or Tate to be strong on the latter?

I don't; I was being sarcastic. I assumed Seamus was too.

I can't remember seeing much of Risko.
He has some very good wins on his record though.

Risko beat many good fighters but from what I read was fairly one dimensional swarmer type. Is there any footage of him?

After Gene Tunney retired, Risko seems to have briefly been the favorite to succeed him as champion.

He is the very definition of a nearly man.
