Still a fascinating match up to speculate. Gilberto Roman at his best was as good of a pure outboxing technician as you can get. Always likened him to guys like Willie Pep and Miguel Canto with the way he moves around the ring. I don't recall Tapia fighting anyone who was as elusive as Roman. Tapia was perhaps a tad quicker and unpredictable but he'll also be fighting a master counter puncher with a long reach as well. Very close fight to call honestly.
