The only way a 42 year old Corbett defeats a prime Johnson is if Jack does not properly train .. I don't see it ... prime for prime a very interesting if possibly somewhat boring fight ...

As it was a 6 rd no dec Johnson couldn't lose unless he was kod, unlikely considering his opponent was O Brien.
The fight was a stinker, its documented Johnson came in out of shape and hung over O Brien was dropped a couple of times, probably bundled over by the bigger man. Johnson did not exert himself, the public took the punishment.
Excuses? Well Johnson basically pissed on the public by not being in shape, no excuse for that ,but it had some bearing on his performance or lack of it.anyone who thinks O Brien had a real chance to beat a fit and focused Jack is living in a cocoon of hatred. And, I expect he will reply

Johnson would've done a job on Corbett as he did on an old Fitzsimmons. The name of Corbett would motivate him unlike a Jack O'Brien or Battling Jim.

You are probably right Corbett was a racist ***** and said many unacceptable things about Johnson, and Blacks in general.Fitz was not racist and Johnson allways spoke well of him.Corbett admitted Johnson's skills and Johnson was complimentary about Corbett's cleverness, but in a fight between them, I think Jack might have been a bit more motivated than usual, therefore, it would likely be a quick blow out after one or two rounds of humiliation.
I might add, I think a prime Corbett gets comfortably decisioned by a trained Johnson.
