Hearns was exhausted which contributed to the stoppage; also, SRL had to go through hell to beat Hearns that night. Leonard took alot of shots and walked a tiring Hearns down. I don't think Jones would fight that kind of fight and I don't feel he could take the kind of punishment that Leonard took.

Its hard to pick a winner here but it'd be a great fight.

If Jones can be patient while going to work on Hearns, he can win this one by stoppage. If he is trying to flash in and out too much, there is a serious chance he walks into a lightning shot by Hearns.

    That said, Jones by Stoppage.

I just don't think Tommy could have caught Roy, I agree with the early comment that Jones looked stronger at 168 than 160 but to knock someone out you have to catch them, and I dont think Hearns could have caught Roy.

Hearns' version who fought Duran KO's Jones inside 3, but if fight goes beyond that it will be all Jones. A UD or a KO.

Got to go with Jones. At middle he was a huge puncher. The statement of "If Hearns hit Jones with that right hand he hit Duran with" are jus stupid. Hearns would have loaded up, missed and bean clocked with a counter right hand.

At 160 RJJ squeaks by Tommy, but just south as a Jr. Middle, Tommy KO's RJJ.
Tommy fought best before he turned a middle, but always fought well.

I hate to disagree with you, but SRL was a very good puncher at 147 with amazing speed. He stopped a lot of good fighters there, not until he moved up did his power not show so much. Even then he stopped other fighters. You act like Leonard was feather fisted. Let the record show that neither Leonard nor Hagler stopped Hearns until Tommy took a thorough beating, and I don't think Jones is gonna take him out with one punch. Hearns did have bad legs
154 was Hearns best weight, and I think 168 is Jones' best weight. This fight is going to depend on who gets caught first. Jones at 160 wasn't the best Jones and who made mistakes. His unorthodox style wouldn't have worked with Tommy. You had to get inside to beat Tommy. That wasn't Jones' style. Tommy would have caught Jones trying some cute **** and finished him.

    Roy by KO.

Of the Fab 4, only Hagler has a chance h-to-h against Roy.

IMO, He KO's the other three and UD's Hagler comfortably.

Roy had more power than Hearns, at any weight where the two could have met. He was faster, and, while not as solid in the fundamentals, was a better boxer simply because of his freakish athleticism.

I can't even see why this would be debated.

The question here is, would Roy have the nerve to put his chin at risk to Hearns' right hand?

If he does, he might be able to win this - though one good chin check by Hearns could foil his hopes.

But if he doesn't, he loses a lopsided decision or gets KO'd.
