Jones hadnt won a meaningful fight in 5 years when he fought Calzaghe.

He had been KO'd cold in previous years. Beat Trinidad after Trinidad came out of retirement 10lbs above where he last fought.

And beat a couiple of mediocre opponents.

The win means nothing.

 

A lot of Ali fans thought he could beat Holmes.

atsch Classic talk from guys DKSAB its not all about years at all, Fernando Vargas was shot very early(age wise) wars in the ring can take more away than age, Jones was shot his body left him simple as that he went to fight at HW than he lost alot of weight to get back down to LHW he was never the same thats the fact, just as fact is even in Britain no one even considered Joe to be threat to RJJ, there is even British about Roy and they did not even mention Joe as possible opponent thats how "big" he was, face the facts Roy>Calzaghe in every way, everywhere but in Britain!!!
