holy ****. i've stopped getting sucked into these arguments but this is just classic. it just proves how terrible calzaghe's resume is when you have to argue points like this. i'm one of jones' biggest fans and i thought he won 2 rounds vs lebedev.

is there any fighter who ever took part in the sport that you'd have to defend with something like this? i think bailey is the one who dogs adalade byrd's scorecard in bhop-joe but then wants to take a complete **** score from a fight and justify it for being a reason that calzaghe is great. beyond embarrassing. joe beat two old, former middleweight champs in jones and hopkins. one was still pretty good at the time and one wasn't.

 

It was an exceptional performance from Calzaghe, he beat a far better Jones than any fanboy on here is willing to admit. Calzaghe's superior ring IQ was there for everyone to see, a fight between these two would have always played out in a similar fashion imo.

 

Top drawer post LECCY. Jones would have been beaten from pillar to post by Calzaghe at any stage. Completely wrong style for Jones. And to think how badly a Glass Handed shot Calzaghe mangled Jones´ face.

I shudder to think what a peak Calzaghe free of hand troubles would do to that Glass Jaw of Jones. :fire:deal

 

Prime Calzaghe at 168, pre-hand trouble fighting at the millenium stadium Cardiff would have completely decimated Jones, systematically mauled him via 12 punishing rounds due to superior speed, workrate, lateral movement and workrate. Jones would have completely folded in Cardiff :deal
