he gave jones to much respect in the first fight. Figured him out in the last 4 rounds. jones didnt want the rematch. he couldnt make that weight anymore. Jones was gassed and laying on the ropes in the first fight.

He didn't adjust to the high climate against Mercado, is one of the reasons why Hopkins struggled in that fight. In the rematch Hopkins easily beat him.

He moved right up after that fight. Wanted no rematch.

I was referring to 2002, when it was viable and when everyone wanted it.

Why would Roy have rematched Hopkins straight after they’d fought, back in 1993?

It was a clear win for Roy, who also wasn’t at his best, due to an injured hand.

He then went up to SMW to fight the P4P no.2 in Toney.

And due to fighting to low of a weight class as to why he gassed in the last 4 rounds.

His last 160 fight was the following year against Thomas Tate.

Roy was an athletic freak, I'd put him in the same category of Randy Moss, Deion Sanders, Bo Jackson.

Prime RJ was nearly untouchable, he barely lost rounds. Hopkins was never in Prime Roy's class.
