    How many of you were fans of Lopez and why??

    Before my time as a fan but I watched his fights with guys like Quartey, Campas, Page and the Loughran. He seemed like a very classy fighter with natural power and a great chin.

    Could have done more but maybe wasn't as dedicated as he needed to be; he looked like he was a division or two above where he should have been fighting but got by on his skill and toughness. He seemed to coast a bit in fights too, I remember thinking that cost him the Quartey fight.

    Like I said I wasn't watching him while he was active in his prime. Hopefully some other posters who were could give a better insight than my retrospective one.

    The guy had everything but discipline...chin, power, and some skill

    My favorite welter at the time and always thought he had a decent chance against DLH and Trinidad.
